Early Childhood Educator

Join our amazing team at Hands on Early Learning Centre located inside of Lethbridge Polytechnic!

The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:

- Must have Level 2 or 3 certified ECE (NO EXCEPTIONS!). Knowledge of the Flight curriculum is considered a strong asset.
- If unfamiliar with Flight, the candidate must take Flight training within the first 6 months of hiring as a condition of employment.
- Valid first aid certificate, clear criminal record check that includes the vulnerable sector, and clear child intervention check from child and family services (required within 6 months)
- Fluent in speaking, reading, writing, and English comprehension
- Must be a warm, nurturing, flexible professional who genuinely enjoys and takes pride in their profession.

As an Early Learning Professional the following responsibilities are to be fulfilled:

- Have fun teaching children hands on learning through play
- Work directly with the children, being actively involved in all activities and aspects of child care and ensure mental and physical safety of children
- Maintain programs philosophy and policies




- Create and implement an emergent curriculum and open ended program plans
- Engage in team development and work independently as well as with a team

- Diapering and toileting children
- Maintain relationships with parents, children, team members, and coaches at the program
- Completing observations regularly and input children’s daily information on Lillio communication app.
- Maintain and exceed ministry regulations
- Engage in professional development each year, and attend monthly staff meetings
- Engage in program planning each month

Wage top up paid per month based on children's hours and level certification from Gov of AB. Cost share health & dental benefits available after 3 months of employment. We thank all applicants, however only suitable candidates will be contacted for next steps.

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
