*Must be able to lift 20kg bags of flour/sugar

Butter and Co. bakery located in Nored Plaza in North Nanaimo. We are looking for someone with a good attitude, work ethic and the drive for perfection! Our hours of operation are 8 am-3 pm 7 days a week. The candidate must be available for early morning, weekends and holidays. Early morning shifts start at 4 am and finish at 12:30 pm.

Duties

- General Prep: Mixing doughs, proofing and baking bread and pastries, feeding starters, chopping/peeling/cutting fruits and vegetables for various jams and fillings
- Laminating and shaping croissants
- Making and decorating various tarts, puffs, and cookies
- Maintain the quality and freshness of ingredients
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, including equipment, personal tools and utensils; understand and abide by Health & Safety standards and Food Secure requirements




- Monitor and log shortages as required
- Cleaning down work area and writing an accurate prep list for the next day
- Must be available weekends and holidays
