The Early Years Family Resource Worker (FRW) is a member of the Terrace Child Development Centre’s multi-disciplinary team. The FRW shall provide direct services to families with young children to support and promote cultural and community belonging to address social isolation in the community of Stewart.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Co-ordinate, prepare, and facilitate parent/child drop-in programs.
2. Provide support to families including sharing information, helping with problem-solving, linking families with other community services, and providing resources on a variety of topics.
3. Utilize approach and strategies that are consistent with the strength-based, family-centered, trauma-informed philosophy.
4. Obtain and maintain current knowledge of government and community resources that help families with extra needs.
5.



Maintain record-keeping of activities.
6. Liaise with families and agencies to formulate and maintain a needs assessment for each community.
7. Collaborate with Elders and traditional advisors for inclusion of cultural activities.
8. Perform other related duties as required.

Job Type: Part time Pay: $26.53 per hour
