About Active Electrical

Active Electrical is a growing electrical contracting company working on commercial, industrial and service projects throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprentice to join our team.

The ideal candidate is someone who wants to continue developing their electrical skills, takes pride in their work, works safely and is interested in building a long-term career with our company.

Responsibilities

- Perform electrical installations on commercial, industrial and other electrical projects
- Install conduit, raceways and cable tray
- Pull and terminate wires and cables
- Install panels, disconnects, transformers and electrical equipment
- Install lighting, receptacles, switches and control devices
- Assist with motor and control wiring
- Read and work from electrical drawings and plans
- Perform electrical rough-ins and finishing work
- Assist with troubleshooting and service work
- Use electrical hand tools and power tools safely
- Follow the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and company safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work as part of a team and follow direction from lead electricians and supervisors
- Complete required jobsite paperwork and work reports




- Identify materials required for upcoming work
- Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles in good condition

Requirements
- Currently registered as a 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprentice
- Previous electrical construction experience
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and installation practices
- Ability to read basic electrical drawings
- Comfortable using electrical hand and power tools
- Strong safety awareness
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence
- Able to travel to different GTA job sites
- Willing to travel outside the GTA when required

Travel Requirements Our primary work area is the GTA, but we occasionally take projects outside the GTA and outside Ontario.

Applicants must be willing to travel when required. Some projects may require:

- Overnight stays
- Multi-day travel
- Working in different cities/provinces
- Extended workdays depending on the project

Travel-related arrangements and applicable company policies will be discussed during the hiring process.
