Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electromechanical Technician to join our agile team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems within our manufacturing environment. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of production equipment, uphold safety standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties

- Electrical Troubleshooting & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, relays, solenoids, switches, sensors, and control circuits. Diagnose electrical faults quickly and accurately to minimize equipment downtime in a manufacturing environment.
- Drives, Controls & Equipment Support: Install, program, maintain, and troubleshooting VFDs and electrical drives, including ABB and Siemens drives. Support electrical components of production equipment, automation systems, and machinery start-ups.
- Preventative Maintenance & Reliability: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure reliable operation of plant electrical systems.



Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Safety, Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all electrical work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, health & safety legislation, and company policies. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and technical documentation.
- Collaboration & Operational Support: Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve electrical issues. Provide support during equipment upgrades, shutdowns, and emergency breakdowns as required.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Candidates holding a valid Red Seal endorsement will be given strong preference
- Experience working in continuous manufacturing environments
- Exposure to PLC troubleshooting
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs
- Attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork mindset is needed.
