The salary range for this position is CAD $28.74 - $28.74 / hour

Detailed Overview

The Equipment and Supply Clerk provides support to the designated areas by maintaining and ordering equipment and supplies, stocking supply areas and carts, moving equipment and supplies between patient rooms, and performing related clerical duties.

Responsibilities

- Monitors and maintains inventory of supplies and equipment for designated areas in accordance with predetermined supply levels.

- Completes requisitions and purchase orders for routine supplies and equipment, arranges for appropriate approvals, forwards requisitions to stores, receives incoming supplies and equipment and places stock in designated areas.

- Notifies appropriate personnel of malfunctioning equipment, prepares repair requisitions and sends out equipment for repairs according to established procedures.

- Moves/transports equipment between treatment rooms and wipes down and restocks code blue carts according to established procedures to ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available.





- Maintains lists of equipment and supplies including the location of unit equipment and equipment under repairs and loaners being used.

- Performs a variety of general clerical duties such as maintaining related records, preparing and typing a variety of reports such as stock status/back orders and related statistics, labeling equipment, and setting up and maintaining filing systems for equipment and supply records.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and ExperienceGrade 12 and two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities

- Ability to keyboard at 45 w.p.m.

- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

- Ability to deal with others effectively.

- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

- Ability to organize work.

- Ability to operate related equipment.
