Prairie North Construction is recruiting Night Shift for Heavy Equipment Operators for a Civil Construction Project near Fort Mc Murray, Ab.

This is a project-based position, schedule to be determined 12 hr shifts Night Shifts

Local Preferred and or Must find own accommodations LOA Provided

Positions Needed: Dozer, Hoe, Grader, Rock Truck

This position will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

Duties Include:

- Operate Heavy Equipment as it applies to ditching, sloping, grading, stripping, clean-up, rock ripping etc. along with the ability to read grade stakes.
- Capable of operating a range of excavator sizes (350-450 series) (GPS)
- Capable of operating a range of dozer sizes (D6 to D8) (GPS)
- Experience with finish grade operations is highly valued
- Operate 40t Articulating Truck and support in civil construction activities such as: backfilling, road surfacing, and material hauling.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
- Operate and maintain equipment in a protected and efficient manner.




- Carry out minor maintenance and inspection for equipment and reporting any deficiencies.
- Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

- Possess 2+ year’s experience
- Capable of physical Labour
- Dress appropriately for all weather conditions.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work long hours
- Punctuality and reliability are critical for this role
- Must pass a competency assessment on specified equipment
- Must have own CSA approved steeled toed safety boots above ankle height
- Must have Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Must have own reliable transportation
- Local Preferred
