Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator/Bookkeeper to join our team! This vital role combines accurate project cost estimation with comprehensive bookkeeping responsibilities, ensuring smooth financial operations and precise project planning. As an Estimator/Bookkeeper, you will play a key part in managing financial records, preparing estimates, and supporting the overall fiscal health of our organization.

Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed project estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and client requirements to ensure accurate cost projections.
- Manage all bookkeeping functions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining accurate records.
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation regularly to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies, variances, or potential issues in financial reports.
- Support payroll processing by verifying hours worked, calculating wages,



and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist in budgeting activities by monitoring expenses against budgets and providing insights for cost control.

Qualifications

- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and related compliance requirements.
- Solid understanding of accounting practices, financial reporting, and budget management.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with energetic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately and communicate findings clearly.
- Prior experience in estimating or project costing is a plus but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is highly valued.
