Who we are Pawsitive Match Rescue Foundation is a registered Canadian charity and non-profit animal rescue based in Calgary, Alberta. The organization is powered by a dedicated group of volunteers committed to animal welfare.

Pawsitive Match focuses on rescuing dogs and cats from life-threatening situations and providing them with a second chance at a safe and happy life. The team carefully matches rescued animals with suitable families to create lasting “pawsitive” placements. The foundation is guided by the belief that every animal deserves a chance at a happy life, regardless of its background.

About the Role

As our rescue continues to grow, so does the demand for adoption events and community presence opportunities — we're regularly asked to bring animals to partner stores and community events, some of which contribute significant fundraising and adoption exposure.

To keep up with this growth while supporting our volunteer team sustainably, we're introducing a new Event Team Manager volunteer position at the head of our event lifecycle.

This is a leadership role for someone who loves organization, enjoys being the strategic point of contact for event requests, and wants to help shape how our events run behind the scenes without needing to attend events in person.

What You'll Do





Intake & Assignment

- Monitor the events inbox and have the initial conversation with anyone requesting an event with the organization
- Decide whether an event aligns with the rescue's current strategy and priorities
- Pick event dates that avoid conflicts with other events or fundraisers
- Assign accepted events to an Event Coordinator on a fair, rotating basis
- Log every event in the tracker for visibility with the Director

Ongoing Support

- Build and maintain a contact list of available fosters for Event Coordinators to draw from
- Act as a resource for Event Coordinators, helping problem-solve as issues come up
- Approve Event Coordinators' own event ideas (outside the regular intake process)
- Day to day support for Event Planners and helpers
- Day to day operations of the Events Team

Event Closure

- Send retrospective/feedback forms to Event Coordinators and Event Leads after each event
- Track donations and purchases
- Close out each event and act on feedback from Event Leads, Coordinators, and Requestors
