Summary

McNally Excavating Ltd. is hiring an excavator operator for our Municipal Drainage division. McNally Excavating Ltd. completes municipal drainage projects in the rural areas of Lambton County, Chatham-Kent, Elgin County and Middlesex County area. McNally Excavating Ltd. is based in Inwood, Ontario.

Typical projects include brushing, ditching, installation of plastic and concrete tile drains, culverts, catch basins, road crossings, etc. on municipal and private drain projects.

Excavator Operator duties would include, but not be restricted to:

Brushing

Ditching

Trenching for plastic and concrete tile drains

Proficiency in operating other equipment such as loader/ tractor backhoe/skid steer

Locating utilities

Digging, trenching and grading as well as specialized shoring operations according to project specifications

Excavate around all types of utilities lines, properly exposing, debris removal, trenching, digging

Stripping topsoil and backfilling tile trench

Setting pipe in trench with excavator

Ensure equipment and components are in good working condition. Report any deficiencies to Supervisor

Maintain and use Personal Protective Equipment

Reporting to Supervisor for direction, tasking or assignments

Qualifications

Strong understanding of construction,



ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints and locates

Attention to detail and spatial awareness

Commitment to health and safety regulations

Qualifications Considered Assets

1-5 years experience

Hours of work

Monday to Friday
