Join Wikwemikong Health Centre as a facilitator to uplift Indigenous youth! Create supportive environments for youth aged 13-24 through impactful and culturally grounded programs. In this role, you will directly contribute to youth development by promoting well-being and resilience through agile programs.
Your responsibilities will include planning activities that respect cultural values, engaging 2SLGBTQ+ youth, and managing various community initiatives. You'll also ensure public awareness of programs at the Waasa Naabin Community Youth Services Centre. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and assess youth programs effectively
- Implement educational and recreational activities
- Develop youth volunteers for community engagement
- Manage the drop-in centre effectively
- Lead adventure-based programs and community trips Requirements:
- College Diploma in Child & Youth Work or equivalent
- Must have a clear criminal reference check
- 1-2 years relevant experience in program creation
- Valid or willing to obtain Ontario Driver’s License
- Familiarity with First Nations cultures and issues Drive change and make a difference as a WNCYSC Facilitator in your community.
