Location: Saskatoon, SK

Reports To: Director, Engineering

Objective and Scope:

The Facilities Engineer will lead the engineering function for NULIFE GreenTech's new commercial HTL facility, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while driving continuous process optimization and future technology development. As the company transitions from construction into operations, this role will focus on improving existing systems, developing engineering capability, supporting future expansion initiatives, and providing technical leadership across the organization. This position is a key succession opportunity as the engineering department continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the engineering department and provide technical leadership across plant operations.
- Drive continuous process optimization to improve throughput, efficiency and reliability.
- Identify and implement operational improvements using engineering best practices.
- Support troubleshooting of complex mechanical and process issues.
- Develop maintenance and reliability strategies for critical equipment.
- Manage engineering priorities and technical projects supporting ongoing operations.
- Lead future process development and expansion initiatives as the business grows.
- Mentor engineers and technical staff while building long-term engineering capability.
- Collaborate with Operations to maximize plant performance and production targets.
- Manage smaller capital improvement projects as required.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

- 7 plus years of progressive engineering experience in industrial facilities,



process plants, oil & gas, energy, mining, chemical processing or comparable heavy industrial environments.
- Qualified Engineer (P.Eng.) preferred. Certified Professional Technologist (P.Tech.) or equivalent senior engineering designation will also be considered for candidates with extensive relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of ASME code and TSask regulations
- Demonstrated experience in oil & gas or comparable high-pressure industrial facilities
- Experience operating in dynamic, fast-paced environments with evolving scope
- Solid communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines

Assets:

- Experience in hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) or biomass processing
- Biomass, energy, oil & gas or chemical processing experience
- Continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent)
- Industrial plant optimization
- Reliability centred maintenance
- Process troubleshooting
