Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Counselor to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will provide emotional support, guidance, and case management services to families navigating complex challenges. Your expertise will help foster healthier family dynamics, support children’s well-being, and promote positive outcomes through personalized counseling and resource coordination.

Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand family needs, strengths, and areas for growth.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on emotional well-being, behavioral health, and family relationships.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, educators, and community agencies to coordinate case management plans tailored to each family’s unique circumstances.
- Collect and analyze data related to client progress, treatment effectiveness, and service delivery outcomes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Educate families about available resources such as special education programs, pediatric healthcare options,



and community support services.
- Support families in developing coping strategies and implementing behavioral interventions aligned with medical terminology and pediatric care principles.

Experience

- Prior experience working with children in clinical or educational settings is highly preferred.
- Experience in hospital or healthcare environments is advantageous, especially within pediatrics or patient care contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research or data collection related to family dynamics or child development.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pediatric health and mental health conditions.
- Background in case management with a focus on supporting families through complex service systems.
- Familiarity with special education processes and advocacy for children requiring individualized educational plans (IEPs).
