Provide essential family support at Nogdawindamin Family and Community Services as a Family Well-Being Group Worker in Serpent River First Nation. This full-time contract role offers services to enhance parental skills and family unity. This position is designed for individuals passionate about promoting well-being and development in families.
You will lead educational groups, advocate for parents, and develop specialized programming based on community needs. Your efforts will be vital in cultivating resilience and a supportive workplace to promote healthy relationships. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate educational programs for families and parents
- Support the development of nurturing behaviors
- Advocate for families and children’s safety
- Create programming for resilience and confidence
- Provide services in homes and online environments Requirements:
- Diploma in Human Services required
- Degree in Human Services preferred
- Experience working with families for at least two years
- Understanding of Anishnawbek cultural practices
- Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s Licence and vehicle access Empower families with critical skills and support needed for nurturing growth and development.
