Fashion Class Teaching Assistant – Eyes on Mi Fashion Academy

Eyes on Mi Fashion Academy is seeking a dedicated, skilled Fashion Class Teaching Assistant to support our regular, ongoing classes. This position is ideal for an experienced fashion student or graduate who is passionate about education and ready to play an active, consistent role in practical studio support and student assistance.

Responsibilities

- Instructional Support: Guide students through technical execution - including sewing, draping, patternmaking, and illustration by providing real-time troubleshooting, clear step-by-step demonstrations, and targeted encouragement to build practical confidence.
- Classroom & Studio Management: Keep the studio organized during and after class. A key part of this role includes tidying up, putting away tools, organizing fabrics, and resetting equipment so the space stays clean and functional.
- Student Guidance: Stay available in the classroom to troubleshoot practical issues and help students keep momentum on their projects throughout the session.

Qualifications

- Education & Experience: Current student or recent graduate in Fashion Design (or a related field) with solid, hands-on experience in garment construction, sewing, draping, and pattern drafting. Prior experience coaching, tutoring,



or assisting in a studio setting is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical proficiency in fashion design fundamentals to confidently assist students with their projects.
- Soft Skills: Highly organized, patient, proactive, and able to manage a fast-paced classroom environment.
- Language Requirements: English fluency required; proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is considered a strong asset to communicate with our student base and instructors.
- Professionalism: Punctual, reliable, and collaborative.
