Fibre Field Representative – Part-Time / Seasonal

We are looking for reliable and professional Fibre Field Representatives to support an active fibre-optic infrastructure project in Cambridge, Ontario.

This is a part-time, seasonal field position with weekday afternoon and evening shifts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, being outdoors, and interacting with people.

This is not a sales position. There are no products or services to sell.

Homeowners you visit have already been contacted regarding the fibre installation and have provided initial consent for a fibre drop.

Your role is the next step in the process. You will visit assigned properties, meet with homeowners, explain the proposed scope of work at their property, answer general questions, and obtain their signature acknowledging that the scope of work has been explained to them.

Training and the information required to explain the proposed work will be provided.

What You'll Do

- Visit pre-assigned residential properties throughout Cambridge
- Meet with homeowners who have already provided initial fibre drop consent
- Clearly and professionally explain the proposed fibre installation scope of work
- Review the planned work with the homeowner and answer general questions
- Obtain homeowner acknowledgement/signatures confirming the scope has been explained
- Complete required digital forms using a company-provided iPad
- Accurately document completed visits, follow-ups, no-answers, and homeowner feedback
- Follow assigned routes and daily schedules
- Travel between assigned properties and work areas when required
- Escalate homeowner questions or concerns when necessary
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with homeowners
- Follow all project and field safety requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence required
- Access to a reliable personal vehicle




- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Comfortable approaching and speaking directly with homeowners
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, confident, respectful, and professional
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable walking for extended periods throughout the shift
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable using an iPad, mobile applications, and digital forms
- Able to follow instructions and accurately document field activity
- Able to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- CSA-approved steel-toe safety footwear required
- High-visibility safety vest must be worn while performing field duties

Previous experience in customer service, telecommunications, canvassing, utilities, construction, field services, or other customer-facing positions is considered an asset but is not required. Schedule & Compensation

- $23.00–$26.00 per hour, based on experience

- 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
- 3:00 PM–8:00 PM
- Shift availability may vary based on project requirements

- Some downtime may occur during the winter season
- Paid training provided

Mileage Reimbursement Approved work-related mileage within the assigned work area is reimbursed.

Mileage reimbursement applies to authorized driving required during your scheduled shift, such as travelling between assigned properties, neighbourhoods, or other designated work locations.

Employees are responsible for their normal commute to and from the assigned work area.

Mileage reimbursement does not include:





- Travel from home to the assigned work area at the beginning of the shift
- Travel from the assigned work area back home at the end of the shift
- Personal or non-work-related driving
- Oil changes or routine vehicle maintenance
- Vehicle repairs
- Tires
- Insurance
- Other general vehicle ownership or maintenance expenses

Employees are responsible for maintaining their personal vehicle in safe operating condition. Reimbursable work-related mileage must be accurately recorded and submitted according to company procedures.
