Currently looking to hire a Fibre Optic Splicer in Winnipeg , MB for a permanent, full time position. This position involves all the facets of splicing including cable preparation, termination, fusion splicing, testing and troubleshooting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fibre
- Documenting and reporting on completed telecommunication work
- Maintaining project and telecom safety documentation
- Inspecting routes and hub sites as preventative maintenance
- Ensuring all attended sites are clearly labelled
- Reviewing engineered plans and blueprints
- Obtaining and maintaining a outstanding attention to detail
- Maintain Personal and Company provided tools
- Maintain good condition of company vehicles
- Rapidly Adapting to new changes that may occur
- Be Flexible for various work hours
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

- Valid Class 5F Drivers License
- Having a reliable vehicle to transport yourself to and from work
- Fibre Optic splicing experience (copper splicing experience is an asset)
- Familiarity with the tools, equipment and techniques of the trade
- Must be Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Fluent in English
- Strong Mechanical and Technical Skills
- Ability to work on aerial platforms and ladders
- Criminal Record Check is Required
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on emergency call outs as required
- Willingness and ability to travel to various regional job sites within Manitoba as required by project schedules

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
- Position subject to a 3 month probationary period

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
