Duties and Responsibilities:

- Ensuring security duties are carried out in compliance with all federal, provincial, and municipal laws including; The Criminal Code of Canada; Trespass to Property legislation
- Operating a Patrol vehicle
- Conduct regular site visits to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
- Responding to all dispatch calls for Alarms, Building Checks and Guard Service needs
- Attending all designated patrols and doing full site patrols
- Assist police and/or fire departments in cases of emergency
- Support overall operational duties

Knowledge and Experience

- Experience in managing challenging security situations
- Minimum 3 years of supervision experience
- Thorough record keeping, report writing and observation skills
- Exceptional judgement, common sense and decision-making ability
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, camera recording systems, computers and radios
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs




- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

Requirements

- Valid Security License
- Valid First Aid
- Must possess a Class 5 Drivers License
- Must be able to be on-call to deal with emergency situations
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Security Supervisory capacity or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of Security Experience*
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
- Must provide a drivers abstract and have a clear criminal record
- Ability to stand, foot patrol, vehicle patrol for extended periods
- Must be willing to work in changing environments
- Must have a clear understanding of the trespass act and understanding of the Canadian Criminal Code
- Must be able to handle stressful situations and perform under pressure

License and Certificates

- Valid Manitoba Security Guard License
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license
- Must provide drivers abstract, with no more than 2 minor convictions, no major convictions, and no more than 6 demerits in the last three years
- First Aid and CPR certificates
- Smart Serve certification an asset
