Field Operator – Refrigeration & Compression

Location: Fort St. John / Tumbler Ridge British Columbia (must be within driving distance, no accommodations are provided)

Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off rotating day and nights

Position Overview

Our client, a leading energy producer operating in Northeast British Columbia, is seeking two experienced Field Operators with solid refrigeration and compressor experience.

The successful candidates will work in a field-based production environment, responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of refrigeration, compression, and associated production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor field production and processing equipment.
- Perform routine facility inspections and operational rounds.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot refrigeration systems.
- Operate and monitor compressor systems and associated equipment.
- Identify abnormal operating conditions and respond appropriately.




- Complete equipment readings, production reports, and operational documentation.
- Assist with equipment start-ups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain compliance with company safety, environmental, and operating procedures.
- Communicate effectively with field operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ experience as a Field Operator in an oil and gas production setting.
- Demonstrated experience with refrigeration and compressor systems .
- Strong mechanical and process operations knowledge.
- Ability to work independently in a remote field environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Valid driver's licence.
