Position Summary

As a Field and Production Team Lead, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and maintain regular communication with the Purchasing Department and the Organic Field Manager. As a full-time employee, you will work across various field and production facilities on the farm, supervising a team of employees. You will be responsible for leading your team to facilitate efficient production.

While meeting strict deadlines and remaining flexible during seasonal work peaks, you will work both independently and as part of a team. The pace of the role is generally balanced but may increase depending on daily, weekly, and seasonal demands.

ESTIMATED START DATE: 02-Jan-2027.

Please note that this role is seasonal. It is expected to be required from January 2 to March 31, 2027, although the work may end earlier depending on the actual yield of our carrot crop and sales volume.

The position would then resume in June and continue for the remainder of the season, typically through February or March, depending on the year.

Job Duties The Field Team Lead - Bunching position looks after our harvesting team and plays a key role in overseeing our carrot crop production.

- Ensuring employees have the resources needed to complete tasks – example: proper PPE, packaging, equipment, etc.
- Making sure production is efficient and adjusting your team as necessary
- Solving issues as they arise, getting help when needed
- Quality expectations are being met, communicating needs within the business
- Training new team members on the various tasks they need to complete; ensuring team members are only using the equipment they are trained to use
- Monitoring performance of team members
- Filling out all required documentation (production logs, costing analysis, etc.)
- Communicate the status of product and field work to purchasing, the CEO and field manager




- Attending daily team lead meetings each morning, half an hour prior to regular shift start time
- Ensuring that the company policies and procedures are being followed by all team members; fulfilling your duties under the OHSA as a Supervisor

Qualifications

- Experience working on an organic farm, in the field and on a production line
- Previous experience managing or overseeing a team of people
- General understanding of food storage procedures
- General understanding of produce quality standards
- Possession of forklift and other required licenses

Working Conditions

- Must be able to stand and move around for prolonged periods of time
- Majority of work completed in a variety of temperature environments
- Continuous learning environment including training opportunities
- General labour work attire but clothing must be clean and intact
- Monday to Friday during regular business hours, including seasonal overtime; the position is considered Seasonal Full Time
