About the Role:

Beaver Rock Café is looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join our team! This position is primarily focused on food preparation, with occasional support for barista and customer service duties. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, maintains high food safety standards, and enjoys being part of a small, friendly café team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare food items such as sandwiches, baked goods, and light meals according to café standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and prep area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with restocking, inventory, and prep lists as needed
- Support barista and front counter service when required
- Operate the POS system (TouchBistro experience an asset)
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Participate in recipe testing and provide feedback on taste, preparation time, consistency, and practicality





Requirements:

- Food preparation experience (required)
- Valid Food Handler Certificate (required)
- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good availability during the week and on weekends
- Adaptable to assist with barista and customer service duties as needed

Hours:

- 15-25 hours per week, depending on scheduling needs and performance
