Foreman – Swing Stage Concrete Masonry & WaterproofingPosition Summary

We are seeking an experienced Foreman to lead crews performing concrete masonry, building envelope repairs, and waterproofing work from swing stages and other elevated access systems. The Foreman will be responsible for coordinating daily field operations, maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate crews performing concrete masonry, concrete repairs, tuckpointing, crack repair, sealant, and waterproofing work.
- Lead daily operations from swing stages, suspended scaffolding, and other elevated work platforms.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements.
- Plan daily work activities, crew assignments, materials, and equipment requirements.
- Ensure proper installation of waterproofing systems, sealants, membranes, coatings, and related building-envelope products.
- Oversee concrete and masonry repairs, including removal, preparation, patching, repointing, and restoration.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with project specifications.
- Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective work with the crew and project management.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and ensure workers understand job hazards and required controls.
- Ensure all swing stage, fall-protection, rigging, and elevated-work procedures are followed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, clients, and other trades.
- Track production, manpower, materials, equipment, and job progress.
- Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot field conditions and make practical decisions to keep work progressing.
- Report project progress, safety concerns, material requirements, and site issues to management.

Qualifications & Experience




- 3+ years of experience in concrete masonry, building envelope, waterproofing, restoration, or a related construction trade.
- Previous experience supervising or leading construction crews.
- Swing stage/suspended access experience is required.
- Strong understanding of concrete and masonry repair techniques.
- Experience with waterproofing membranes, coatings, sealants, crack injection, or similar building-envelope systems.
- Ability to read construction drawings and understand specifications.
- Strong knowledge of fall protection and elevated-work safety requirements.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license is an asset.
- First Aid, fall protection, swing stage, and other relevant safety certifications are an asset.

Working Conditions
- Work is performed primarily outdoors and at elevation.
- Frequent use of swing stages, suspended scaffolding, and fall-protection systems.
- Exposure to dust, concrete, masonry materials, waterproofing products, noise, and changing weather conditions.
- May require early starts, extended days, and occasional weekend work depending on project requirements.

Compensation Competitive wages based on experience and qualifications, with opportunities for overtime and advancement.

Reporting Structure The Foreman reports directly to the Project Manager/Site Superintendent and is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of assigned field crews

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
