About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an FP&A; Consultant to join their FP&A; team for a high-visibility planning cycle, reporting to the Sr. Manager, FP&A.; In this role, you’ll own a designated product portfolio through the delivery of the 2027 budget and five-year strategic plan (September–November 2026), then transition into monthly forecasting, reporting, and ad hoc analysis through year-end (with potential extension).

You’ll partner closely with stakeholders across Corporate Finance, Accounting, Product, Sales, Operations, and Business Development, with exposure that can extend to senior executives and Private Equity sponsors. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on FP&A; professional who can ramp quickly, operate independently, and bring structure and insight to a complex, multi-stakeholder setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the 2027 budget and five-year strategic business plan for a designated product portfolio (primary focus Sept–Nov 2026)
- Partner with Product, Sales, Business Development, and Operations to gather bottom-up inputs, validate assumptions, and translate them into forecasts
- Integrate portfolio assumptions into the corporate financial model and ensure accurate roll-up to enterprise totals
- Support development of executive and board-level materials to communicate the strategic plan
- Produce monthly portfolio P&L; reporting and create product-level review packages for business and Finance leadership
- Perform budget vs. actual variance analysis, identify performance drivers, and deliver clear commentary to stakeholders




- Support phasing of annual budgets into monthly forecasts as the budget cycle closes
- Contribute to Q4 2026 reforecasting and year-end outlook
- Maintain portfolio/sister company reporting as required
- Build business cases and financial models for new initiatives, product decisions, and internal review board submissions
- Support Capex forecasting and other cross-functional finance deliverables
- Assist with ad hoc requests from Private Equity sponsors
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work (especially related to Hyperion/Smart View and Power BI data extraction workflows)
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives; review legacy reporting and recommend enhancements

What You Bring
- 5 years of experience in FP&A; / financial planning / related finance roles (ideally within a large, complex organization)
- Proven ability to own a budget and forecast cycle end-to-end, including assumption gathering through stakeholder presentation
- Strong capabilities in P&L; management, variance analysis, and business partnering
- Comfort engaging with stakeholders at multiple levels, including executive/C-suite
- Advanced Excel skills (complex models; macros/automation considered an asset)
- Experience with Hyperion (Oracle), including Smart View for extraction and planning
- Power BI experience pulling/interpreting data and translating outputs into finance narratives




- Familiarity with consolidation and corporate reporting processes
- Self-directed, able to hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding in a contract environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present clearly to non-finance audiences
- Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities during an active budget cycle
- CPA preferred (or in progress), though strong equivalent experience will be considered
- Willingness to complete a one-hour Excel technical assessment as part of screening
