Veterinary Purchasing Co. Marys, Ontario, is the largest veterinary owned distributor in Canada. Our primary purpose is to ensure that Veterinarians have the supplies they need to provide healthcare to all types of animals. We are currently looking for an experienced individual to join our Information Technology team in a Full Stack Developer role. FULL STACK DEVELOPER (Temporary Full-Time - 12-Month Contract)

Reporting to the Application Services Manager, the Full Stack Developer designs, develops, integrates, and supports secure, scalable applications across the full software development lifecycle. Working with Business Analysts, Quality Assurance resources, developers, vendors, and internal stakeholders, this role translates business needs into production-ready solutions spanning front-end development, back-end services, APIs, databases, testing, deployment, and production support. Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain responsive web applications using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and/or C#/.NET Translate approved business and technical requirements into maintainable solution designs, reusable components, acceptance criteria, and production-ready software Design, secure, document, and consume RESTful APIs and JSON-based integrations, including authentication, validation, error handling, logging, monitoring, and recovery Design and maintain relational database objects, schemas, queries, stored procedures, and data-access logic that protect data integrity, security, scalability, and performance Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including estimation, planning, source control, peer code review, testing, change management, release, deployment, and post-release support Assess upstream and downstream impacts,



troubleshoot production defects and integration issues, and communicate risks, dependencies, and corrective actions clearly Apply secure-development and quality practices, including access control, dependency management, vulnerability remediation, automated testing, and traceable change records Provide realistic estimates, manage competing priorities, maintain technical documentation, and deliver reliable solutions within agreed timelines Partner with technical and business colleagues while remaining accountable for independently assigned work Works in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and follows VP's policies and procedures Participates in health and safety training, meetings, and drills as required; Demonstrates a commitment to VP's core values of service, care, respect, integrity and community by incorporating these principles into daily work, decision-making, and interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders Embodies and promotes VP's mission of delivering the highest level of service to our member practices through the personal actions of people care Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline; Four or more (4+) years of professional software development experience in a collaborative team environment At least two (2+)



years of hands-on professional experience developing production applications with React.js Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, including responsive and maintainable user-interface development Professional back-end development experience using Node.js, C#/.NET, or both, including RESTful APIs, JSON data, and application integrations Strong relational-database and SQL skills, including schema design, query performance, and data-integrity considerations Working knowledge of Git-based workflows, peer code review, CI/CD, change management, and platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, or comparable tools Solid analytical, project-delivery, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Preferred Assets: Experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform Experience building or improving CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, or containerized solutions using Docker or comparable technologies Practical experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery frameworks Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m.
