Job Title: Full Stack .NET Developer

Job Type: Contract (12 Months initial contract)

Roles and responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Stack .NET Developer for a 12-month contract position with a major financial institution in Toronto. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, secure software solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to modernize enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable code using C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core.
- Develop modern user interfaces using responsive web technologies (Angular, React, or Vue.js).
- Build, consume, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Write clean, testable code and implement automated testing pipelines to ensure high software quality.
- Manage, query, and optimize relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Participate in Agile ceremonies,



code reviews, and technical design discussions.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, debug issues, and ensure adherence to financial sector security standards.

Qualifications & Skills

- Backend: 5+ years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Web API, and Entity Framework.
- Frontend: Strong proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, or TypeScript), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Database: Strong background in complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance tuning.
- Architecture: Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and microservices architecture.
- DevOps & Tools: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud services (Azure or AWS) is a robust plus.
- Industry: Previous experience working within the financial services or banking domain is highly desirable.
