The Program – Neurodevelopmental Assessment & Diagnostic Centre (NDC)
NDC is Enviros’ Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Diagnostic and Assessment Clinic for both children and adults. Enviros NDC is the only FASD clinic in Southern Alberta completing assessments for the Calgary Youth Courts. Our multidisciplinary team delivers comprehensive FASD assessments, diagnostic services, and follow-up support, helping individuals and families better understand FASD and transition to long-term, meaningful supports.

The Position – Clinic Assistant The Clinic Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Clinical Team during FASD assessments, preparing documents in advance, as well as scheduling clinic days.
Duties will include
- Collecting sensitive records for the purpose of the assessment
- Measuring Sentinel Facial Features via Software
- Reviewing client records
- Supporting Clinical Team with record keeping, tracking data and record requests via Excel forms
- Demographics and survey collection for outcomes reporting
- Working closely with our Clinic Coordinators, NDC Physician and Psychologist
- Setting up of equipment needed for the assessment
- Login to Telehealth platform
- Supporting client’s individual’s needs to successfully completing assessment
- Providing documents to clients as directed by the Clinical team
- Provide photos of assessment material as directed by the Psychologist
- Dispose of all confidential Psychological assessment material after assessment is completed
- Scheduling of clinics etc
Qualifications:
- Minimum required is a certificate in nursing, social work or other related health/social serviced field
- Ability to maintain effective team relationships
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience working with teams of various skilled backgrounds
- Experience with clients where sensitive and emotional information may be shared
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of FASD preferred
- Cultural sensitivity and intercultural skills
- Strong computer literacy
- Clear Criminal and Child Intervention check completed

Both checks must be completed prior to the employee’s start date. Please note that this process can take up to six (6) weeks to complete.
Enviros will accept IRCs and Criminal Record Checks with VSC that are no more than six (6) months old at the time of hire.
