Become the Language & Culture Events Planner with Tsawwassen First Nation and help deliver impactful community programs. This full-time role focuses on organizing events that celebrate the rich heritage and language of the Tsawwassen community. You will partner with the Language & Culture Supervisor and the Events & Food Services team to coordinate workshops, seasonal celebrations, and other cultural programming.
Engage directly with Elders and Knowledge Keepers as you create enriching community experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver engaging workshops and classes
- Organize logistics for cultural events
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with traditional teachings and initiatives
- Develop budgets and manage event expenditures Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years event coordination experience
- Relevant post-secondary education is a plus
- Experience with Indigenous communities preferred
- Solid communication and budgeting skills
