Position: Electronic Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electronic circuits for smart home devices (cameras, sensors, alarms)
- Optimize the performance and efficiency of electronic components used in smart home products
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of electronic systems
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics and design specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve electronic hardware issues, improving reliability and performance
- Participate in product development cycles from concept to production
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience designing and developing electronic systems, ideally within smart home technology or IoT
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded systems
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, and wireless communication protocols (e.g., Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi)
- Proficient in using design tools such as Altium, KiCad, or equivalent
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electronic systems
- Must reside in Australia and be eligible to work remotely
Preferred Skills
- Experience with power management, low-power design, and signal processing
- Familiarity with testing and validation tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers and product managers
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards for electronic devices (e.g., CE, FCC)

Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Assembly: Assemble electrical components such as motor starters, controllers, switchgear, and control panels
- Maintenance &
- Repair: Service and repair machines and electrical equipment; identify and replace worn or faulty parts
- Machining &
- Welding: Perform basic machining operations, welding of metal components, and work on hydraulic/pneumatic systems
- Installation: Assist in the installation of electrical components and smart systems across various sites
- Testing &
- Commissioning: Participate in testing, commissioning, and servicing of electrical systems to ensure performance and compliance
- Interpreting Diagrams: Work from electrical specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Safety Compliance: Follow all workplace safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures
Qualifications
- Certificate III or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, or electrical system support
