Position Overview

D. Floyd Construction is seeking General Labourers. This position will be physically intensive, and provides an opportunity to work on some of Calgary’s most impactful projects! Candidates must be physically fit, show up to work, be willing to work in all conditions and be willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities

· Dig holes for fence installation

· Carry materials from vehicle to work location

· Assist with concrete pouring

· Assist with fence installation

· Other physical labour tasks as deemed necessary

Experience & Skills

· Prior experience in fencing is preferred, but we are open to training the right candidate

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

· Willing to work outside, year-round, in all conditions

· Show up on time, and ready for work

· Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn

· Follow company safety protocols on all sites





· A clean drivers license would be considered an asset

Pay & Benefits

· Competitive hourly rate starting at $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule

· 8 to 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (7:30 – 4:30)

· Overtime pay available for additional hours worked

· Weekend work may be necessary due to the nature of the work

· 12 months per year – we work throughout winter!
