Position Summary

Valcom Antennas is seeking two reliable and hardworking Casual General Labourers to join our Fiberglass Antenna Department.

In this hands-on role, you will assist with preparing antennas for shipment, sanding fiberglass components, moving materials throughout the facility, packaging and crating products, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

The ideal candidates are dependable, safety-conscious individuals who enjoy physical work, take pride in doing quality work, and work well as part of a team.

Please note: This is a casual position. Hours are scheduled based on business needs and may vary from week to week. While employees may work up to 40 hours per week, the Company does not guarantee a minimum number of hours. Work schedules may range from 0 to 40 hours per week, depending on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Sand and prepare fiberglass antenna surfaces for finishing and shipment.
- Assist in building cradles and crates used for packaging antennas.
- Help load antennas into shipping crates and secure them for transport.
- Move materials between production, drying, receiving, and shipping areas.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Support production activities as required to meet operational needs.
- Maintain a clean, protected,



and organized work area.
- Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to support production goals.

Qualifications Required

- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, labour, or production environment is considered an asset.
- Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to safety and quality.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.

Working Conditions

- Casual, as-needed position.
- Typical hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- Two paid 15-minute breaks per shift.
- Clean, air-conditioned manufacturing facility.




- Exposure to fiberglass materials and resins.
- Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and material handling.
