Job Duties
- Sow seeds and assist with the propagation, growing, maintenance and harvesting of tree seedlings
- Water plants and operate or assist with greenhouse irrigation systems
- Transplant seedlings and plants as required
- Monitor plants for signs of pests, disease or other health concerns
- Assist with pest and disease management as directed
- Prepare soil, growing media, trays, pots and other planting materials
- Load, move and organize plant trays, soil, growing materials and supplies
- Operate basic hand tools and greenhouse equipment safely
- Clean and maintain greenhouse work areas, equipment and growing areas
- Assist with general greenhouse and nursery maintenance
- Package, move and prepare seedlings and plant material as required
- Perform other general greenhouse and nursery labour duties as assigned
Pay: $18.34 per hour
Work Location: In person
