Groundsperson – West Kootenay Arborist Inc.

West Kootenay Arborist is a Nelson-based tree care and landscaping company, serving the whole West Kootenay region, and we're growing! We're looking for a Groundsperson to join our crew.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting our climbers and crew leads on tree removal, pruning, wildfire mitigation, stump grinding, and landscaping jobs. Expect chipping brush, hauling wood, running equipment, digging holes, keeping job sites safe and organized and similar tasks.

What we need from you:

- Punctuality. If you say you'll be there, we need you there.
- Physical fitness. This is hard, active outdoor work, rain or shine.
- The right attitude. We're a team, and how you show up matters as much as what you know.
- No experience necessary, we'll train you. Some experience is a plus.
- Basic or higher mechanical aptitude is a huge asset (small engines, chainsaws, equipment maintenance, truck maintenance).

Pay: $22 to $30/hour, depending on experience. Hours:



We don’t have set hours but we generally keep all our guys busy full-time during the season.

Contract type: This is a seasonal job, we hope to get you started asap and will be working up until the season ends, typically around mid November time. If you are a positive fit, it could be a recurring seasonal job.
