Previous teaching experience is preferred — but it is not required.

What You'll Do
As a Hairstyling Educator, you'll help students turn theory into real-world skills.
Your responsibilities will include
- Teaching hairstyling theory and practical techniques using our established curriculum and digital learning platform
- Demonstrating professional hairstyling techniques, tools, products and services
- Delivering lesson plans aligned with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry training and Hair Inc Academy's curriculum requirements.
- Coaching students during practical and hands-on training
- Helping students build confidence, professionalism and strong industry habits
- Evaluating student progress and providing constructive feedback and grading
- Supporting students as they develop their technical and client-service skills
- Maintaining a professional, safe, organized and clean classroom and salon environment
- Ensuring provincial requirements and academy policies are followed
- Collaborating with fellow educators and staff to continuously improve our students' educational experience
- Staying open to new techniques, trends, products and approaches to education

Qualifications
- Valid Alberta Hairstylist certification/licence required
- Strong technical knowledge of hairstyling techniques, tools and professional products
- Minimum 2 years of cosmetology/hairstyling teaching experience is preferred, but not required
- Educator training and ongoing support will be provided to the right candidate
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Dependable attendance and professional conduct
- Ability to work the required schedule
Current Schedule
Applicants must be available
Thursday & Friday, Some Tuesday's
8:15 AM – 5:00 PM
