The Opportunity:
As a Hazmat Responder you will be joining the Field Operations Team in our Response
Division, providing impeccable service to a dynamic group of companies. You will be responsible for you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe handling, transportation,
and disposal of hazardous materials. You should have a high degree of mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and excellent problem-solving skills. We have a diverse portfolio of projects going on in various locations, you should be flexible to relocate frequently.

Responsibilities:
- Perform hazardous material spill response and cleanup activities following established protocols
and regulations.
- Safely operate specialized equipment and tools used in hazmat cleanup and containment.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the nature and extent of hazardous materials present.
- Implement appropriate containment, mitigation, and disposal procedures to minimize
environmental impact.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination during
emergency response situations.
- Maintain accurate records of materials handled, actions taken, and cleanup processes.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with hazmat regulations and
best practices.
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of hazmat response equipment.
- Shop maintenance
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- Certification in hazardous material handling – HAZWOPER 40hour/NFPA 1072 Hazmat Operations
- Prior experience in handling hazardous materials, spill response, or related fields is preferred
- Strong understanding of federal, provincial, and local regulations related to hazardous materials
Compensation: Hourly $30-$35
