Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals, designing our menu all while maintaining food safety standards and ensuring an effective workflow in the kitchen.

We are seeking someone able to work Wednesday to Saturday afternoons, from 2 pm to 10pm.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Lead other kitchen staff.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist in meal preparation and presentation for service.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Requirements





- Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation within the food industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality meal preparation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant's schedule.

Experience:
- Kitchen Management: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Red Seal (preferred)
