Rate: $40.00-$50.00+ per hour, based on experience

TOP Hockey is looking to hire an experienced, passionate, and enthusiastic Head Coach to lead our Competitive U9 and U11 'A' hockey teams in Whitby/Durham Region for the 2026-27 season. TOP Hockey Whitby teams are members of the Ontario Rep Hockey League, featuring a 30+ game schedule, including 5-6x tournaments and 65-70x high-quality practices.

The Head Coach will be responsible for all coaching responsibilities associated with their teams, focused on creating an excellent player experience through great on-ice development, quality coaching, mentorship, character building, and more. TOP Hockey teams practice 3x per week on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in Whitby/Brooklin. Teams play 30+ games per season, including 5-6x tournaments and 8-10x exhibition between September and early April.

Some light travel is required for tournaments, with additional compensation provided for mileage and overnight trips. Additional weekly duties (1-2hrs) include frequent parent communication, team management, managing the team’s TeamSnap page, coordinating parent volunteers, and executing practice plans etc.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong hockey background, previous hockey coaching experience in a team environment, and strong communication skills. All coaches must communicate effectively, act professionally,



and abide by the TOP Hockey coaching philosophies at all times.
