Overview

We are looking for a qualified and driven Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our expanding team as a result of our continuous growth and diversification into off-road and heavy haulage equipment. A mechanic with extensive knowledge in axle systems, transmissions, and engine rebuilds—especially in heavy-duty and agricultural applications—would be well suited for this position. Your knowledge will rapidly enhance our operations' dependability, efficiency, and safety.

Responsibilities

- Demonstrated expertise in heavy-duty mechanical repair (preferably with off-road or agricultural equipment)
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and drivetrain systems
- Service and rebuild tractor components, including drivetrain systems
- Specialize in Carraro and Spicer axle diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds
- Examine and troubleshoot big transport and off-road vehicles.
- Work in a fast-paced shop setting both individually and collaboratively.
- Maintain detailed service records documenting repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics for each machine serviced.

Skills

- Proven experience working as a Heavy Duty Mechanic with a focus on engine rebuilding and drivetrain systems.
- Dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, agricultural machinery, and industrial equipment.




- Hands-on experience with Carraro and Spicer axles is highly preferred.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively.
- Experience using electronic diagnostic tools and OEM software systems
- Experience operating heavy equipment or industrial machinery is an asset for understanding operational context during repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.

- Engine stands and overhaul benches
- Hydraulic presses and bearing pullers
- Torque wrenches and precision measuring tools
- Diagnostic laptops and electronic service tools
- Caterpillar Electronic Technician (CAT ET) for diagnostics, calibrations, and troubleshooting
- Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS) for service procedures, schematics, and technical documentation
- Overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment
- Pneumatic and electric shop tools

Qualifications

- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification or equivalent experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work extended hours when required
