About this Opportunity:

As a valued team member, you will work alongside your colleagues to bring civil, marine and commercial development plans to reality. The position will require you to safely operate a number of assigned machines. Our head office is in Odessa, Ontario. Our Job Sites are located primarily in the Greater Kington Area; however, we also have various jobsites in multiple cities outside of the Kingston area.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

- Operate material handlers, excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and related activities.
- Build roads and lay down areas at construction sites.
- Operate equipment with pile driver head to provide support for buildings, bridges, dams, dock walls or other structures.
- Dredge from shore or barge, to deepen waterways or reclaim earth fill.
- Excavate rock or other materials from quarries or construction sites.
- Place material to construct retaining walls, shoreline protection, breakwaters, and shoals.
- Operate on a barge or marine platform to place material to construct retaining walls, shoreline protection and breakwaters.
- Move, load and unload bulk cargo during marine based projects and port operations.
- Conduct operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment.
- Nights, weekends and remote work as required.



Some sites are 7 days/week, 24hs/day thus scheduling may be variable.
- Perform related responsibilities, tasks and special projects as required or assigned.
- Report any observed or potential hazards immediately to supervisor.

Qualifications/Experience:

- High school diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of certified heavy equipment operator program.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with crushing plants and material processing considered a strong asset
- Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.

- Ability to take and follow directions and instructions.
- Ability or willingness to learn how to use software such as Trimble GPS which may be installed in heavy equipment.
