Role Description The Heavy wrecker tow truck driver is a full time, on-site role based in Windsor, ON. This role involves operating heavy wrecker tow trucks to recover and transport disabled or damaged commercial vehicles and other large equipment.

Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to dispatch calls, assessing roadside situations, securing vehicles safely, and performing towing, winching, and recovery operations in varying weather and traffic conditions. The driver will interact with customers and law enforcement, provide clear updates on service status, complete required documentation, and follow all traffic, safety,



and company policies. The role also includes conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, basic vehicle maintenance checks, and maintaining cleanliness and readiness of the tow truck.

Qualifications

- Strong truck operation skills, including Heavy wrecker Truck Driving and safe handling of tow equipment.
- Experience with TOW and Roadside Assistance services, including vehicle recovery and secure transport.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, dispatch, and emergency services.
- Valid commercial driver’s license appropriate for heavy vehicles, with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of local and provincial traffic regulations and towing safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Physical ability to lift, pull, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Previous heavy towing or recovery experience is an asset; relevant industry certifications are beneficial.
- Must be able to cross border and do drug test
