Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class-1 commercial vehicles, including trucks and heavy equipment, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently across local, regional, or national routes, ensuring timely deliveries
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and other critical systems
- Utilize forklift and heavy equipment operation skills for loading and unloading cargo when necessary




- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor vehicle issues promptly
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, cargo details, and delivery documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules

Requirements

- Valid Class-1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other loading machinery
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping and compliance
- Physical ability to lift heavy cargo and perform vehicle inspections regularly
