Magna Mining Inc. is a Sudbury-focused, base metal exploration and development company. Magna Mining’s key objective is to become the next nickel and copper producing company in Canada by executing a growth strategy that is focused exclusively on the historic nickel producing district of Sudbury, ON.

We intend to achieve this objective via the creation of a Sudbury focused, hub and spoke production model, with our existing Shakespeare project as the hub. We are currently seeking experienced Hoist Operators to join our team at Levack Mine. As a direct employee with Magna Mining, employees on these fixed term contracts are eligible for benefits and RRSP contributions during the fixed term period. All Magna Mining team members are expected to work collaboratively with others, lead the way in health and safety, act with honesty, integrity, and foster an entrepreneurial spirit in pursuit of excellence.

Responsibilities:

- Operate hoist to ensure the safe and productive movement of materials and personnel.
- Perform pre-operational and routine inspections of hoisting equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is safe, operational,



and compliant with Ontario mining regulations and safety standards before use.
- Review, maintain, and accurately complete hoist logs and inspection records.
- Follow all safety regulations, site procedures, and approved signaling methods.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other stakeholders.
- Identify, report, and document equipment malfunctions, defects, or safety hazards.
- Monitor equipment for wear, damage, and compliance with safety requirements.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas around hoist equipment.

Requirements

Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner - Common Core

Work Experience: Nature & Length
- Minimum of 6 months of experience.
