About the Role
As a House Attendant, you’ll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in public areas,
assisting with room setups, and ensuring a secure and organized environment throughout the resort. You’ll support the housekeeping team, respond to guest requests, and play an important part in creating a positive guest experience.
What You’ll Do
- Follow daily task sheets and complete assigned cleaning duties in public and back-of-
house areas
- Perform light cleaning such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, disinfecting, and
polishing
- Safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as required (assistance provided when
needed)
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carpet extractors, steam cleaners, and
floor machines
- Assist with room and event setup (e.g., moving furniture, raising/lowering Murphy beds)
- Deliver guest amenities and assist with linen as needed
- Report maintenance and repair needs promptly
- Replenish supplies for assigned areas
- Interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Adhere to all safety policies, WHMIS standards, and resort procedures
- Complete all other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Supervisors or Managers
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (an asset)
- Ability to read and follow WHMIS instructions and safety rules
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays
- First Aid and WHMIS certification (an asset)
- Ability to consistently meet high cleaning standards
- Multilingual skills (an asset)
