What You’ll Do

Wahous Wilderness Lodge is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort throughout the lodge, guest accommodations, common areas, laundry facilities, spa, and other property areas.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail, works efficiently both independently and as part of a team, and understands the importance of creating a clean, welcoming environment for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and prepare guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing amenities.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize guest rooms and common areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Long House, Spa, Dry Room, common-area bathrooms, lounges, reception, and other guest spaces.
- Perform deep cleaning of guest rooms, including windows, blinds/curtains, fixtures, and hard-to-reach areas.
- Launder and iron guest linens, towels, and other housekeeping items.
- Maintain clean, organized laundry, storage, and supply areas.
- Clean and maintain outdoor areas, including decks, patios,



and entryways.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or supply shortages to management.
- Maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort throughout the property.

What You Bring

Qualifications

- Previous housekeeping, hotel, lodge, resort, or hospitality experience is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean and organized spaces.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cleaning tasks within established timeframes.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Physically able to perform housekeeping duties, including standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling as required.
- Ability to safely use common cleaning products and housekeeping equipment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members and other lodge departments.
- A positive, professional, and guest-focused attitude.

Preferred Skills

- OFA 3 / Advanced First Aid certification is an asset.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
- Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
