Job Overview

Homewood Suites by Hilton in London, Ontario, is seeking a reliable and hardworking Houseperson / Public Area Cleaning Attendant to join our housekeeping team.

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the hotel. The successful candidate will clean and maintain guest floors, public areas, washrooms, elevators, stairwells, fitness areas, and back-of-house spaces while providing professional and courteous service to guests.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and deep-clean hotel public areas, hallways, corridors, and entrances.
- Clean, sanitize, and restock public washrooms.
- Clean and maintain elevators and stairwells.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the hotel.
- Clean the fitness room and other guest-use areas.
- Maintain cleanliness in the lobby, breakfast area, and other common areas.
- Empty garbage and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, doors, mirrors, windows, and other surfaces.
- Restock housekeeping supplies, linens, towels, and guest amenities as required.




- Assist room attendants and other housekeeping team members with linen and supply delivery.
- Collect and transport used linens, garbage, and recycling.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged items, and unusual conditions to the supervisor.
- Follow all hotel cleaning, sanitation, health, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of the housekeeping team.
- Perform other housekeeping-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous hotel housekeeping, commercial cleaning, or janitorial experience is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valuable communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Open availability, including weekends and holidays, is required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
