About the Role

Provide one-on-one in-home tutoring for elementary, junior high and high school students throughout Calgary and surrounding communities.

Tutor Prime is expanding our French Immersion tutoring team for the upcoming school year. We are looking for fluent or highly proficient French-speaking tutors who can provide personalized, one-to-one academic support to students enrolled in French Immersion programs.

Tutoring opportunities are available throughout Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Chestermere and Strathmore, with a primary focus on in-home tutoring.

Who We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in tutors who can confidently teach one or more academic subjects in French, including:

- French Language Arts
- French Immersion Mathematics




- Social Studies in French
- Junior High Mathematics and Humanities
- High School Mathematics, including Math 10, 20-1, 20-2, 30-1 and 30-2
- French language, reading, writing and academic support

Candidates who can tutor multiple subjects in French, particularly Mathematics combined with French Language Arts or Social Studies, are strongly encouraged to apply.

Ideal candidates may include

- Education students or graduates
- Current or retired teachers
- University students with strong academic backgrounds
- French Immersion graduates
- Native or highly proficient French speakers
- Professionals with strong Mathematics or Humanities backgrounds and French proficiency

Knowledge of the Alberta curriculum is a must.

Responsibilities

- Provide engaging one-to-one tutoring in students' homes
- Explain academic concepts clearly in French and/or English as appropriate
- Support students with coursework, assignments, quizzes and exams
- Identify individual learning needs and adapt tutoring accordingly
- Help students strengthen academic skills and confidence
- Maintain a reliable weekly tutoring schedule
- Communicate professionally with students, parents and Tutor Prime

Requirements
- Strong spoken and written French
- Strong knowledge of at least one relevant academic subject
- Ability to communicate effectively with students
- Reliable and qualified




- Ability to travel to students' homes for in-person assignments
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is an asset
