Pathways to Healing is a growing psychotherapy practice dedicated to providing depth-oriented mental health trauma treatment for adults impacted by complex trauma, attachment wounds, and sexual, emotional, or physical abuse.

Training Support For the right long-term candidate, the practice may financially support advanced trauma-focused training, including:

Compensation is based on experience, training, and caseload volume.
What We Are Looking for
Are you an empathetic and dedicated therapist or social worker with training in EMDR or other trauma treatment training who is passionate about working with complex clinical presentations? What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include
- Provide individual psychotherapy to adult clients, virtually and/or in person.
- Complete clinical documentation, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required client records.
- Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans based on each client’s needs and goals.
- Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with clients and, when appropriate, other professionals involved in their care.
- Participate in clinical consultation, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to support your growth and clinical practice.
We take care of the administrative side of private practice so you can spend more of your time focused on your clients, your clinical work, and the parts of the profession that brought you to this work in the first place. About the Role The successful candidate will provide virtual psychotherapy to adults presenting with:
- Complex developmental and relational trauma
- Attachment injuries
- Sexual, emotional, and physical trauma
- Nervous system dysregulation and dissociation
Our work is rooted in trauma-informed and attachment-based care, with emphasis on:
- EMDR Therapy
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Somatic and Sensorimotor approaches
- Emotion-Focused Therapy
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy
Qualifications
Required
- Registered with CRPO or OCSWSSW in good standing
- Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, Psychotherapy, or Social Work
- Minimum 2 years of psychotherapy experience in trauma treatment such as EMDR or IFS or other trauma treatment
- Professional Liability Insurance
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with
- Colleagues and contribute to a supportive team environment.
- Strong interest in or experience working with complex trauma
- High degree of reliability, professionalism, and commitment to ethical practice
- Compassion & Empathy: A genuine desire to help others and a
deep commitment to client-centred care.
Preferred Assets
- Registration across multiple Canadian provinces is an asset
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Jane App software
- Other approaches such as CBT, DBT, EFT, ACT and EFT is asset)
- Speaking language, other than English is an asset
