Pro Paint Canada is an industrial abrasive blasting and coatings company based in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. We provide field and shop abrasive blasting and protective coating applications for both new and existing pipelines, facility, infrastructure, mining and tank work across Canada. We are looking for an experienced Industrial Abrasive Blaster to join our team at our Red Deer County shop location as well as field positions. This position reports directly to the Shop Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain sandblasting and equipment specifications associated with sanding, substrate surface preparation and abrasive blasting;
- Properly protect and mask projects for abrasive blasting;
- General labour activities as required including, but not limited to, hauling of material, tools, equipment, etc.;
- Performing work in a safe manner in accordance with Pro Paint Canada's safe work practices, policies, and procedures and provincial OH&S; legislation;
- Ability to recognize and correct hazards;
- Lifting up to 60lbs repeatedly;
- Ability to work in Confined Spaces to complete abrasive blasting activities;
- Must be able to work with alone under minimal supervision as well as in a team environment;
- Timely reporting of all incidents, near misses,



spills and equipment damage to site supervision;
- Participation in daily safety meetings and safety/quality is required;
- Must be able to work within a culturally diverse staff environment;
- Assist with other duties as directed by the Shop Manager.

Required Qualifications:

- Must be 18 years of age;
- ACSA CSTS-2020 (free-online);
- Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection;
- Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry & Monitor;
- Any AAMP CIP certifications would be considered an asset;
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
- Must have a minimum of 3-years experience in an industrial sandblasting setting and able to recognize and deliver the desired surface prep standards.

Compensation:

- Competitive;
- Will be decided based on experience.
