Global is seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our team building custom automated equipment. This is a hands-on role covering the full project lifecycle from panel build and field wiring through commissioning, installation, and service.

Reporting directly to the Electrical Group Leader, you'll work alongside Controls Designers/Programmers, Manufacturing Managers, and Project Managers on equipment built for a range of industrial customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform panel build, field wiring, and pneumatic plumbing of cylinders for custom automated equipment
- Support start-up, commissioning, installation, and service of equipment
- Work with the Controls Designer/Programmer and Manufacturing team to review Controls Design Packages and identify in-stock BOM items




- Take part in internal design review meetings and provide input on ease of wiring/assembly, cost savings, and set-up
- Provide estimates on hours required to complete the controls aspect of a project
- Travel to customer facilities, as required, for installation, set-up, and equipment support
- Support equipment set-up, de-bug, and run-off with customer parts
- Assist Department and Project Managers in meeting job budget targets
- Troubleshoot and help resolve production and quality issues
- Participate in the research, trial, and selection of new technology to improve GVS products
- Assist in training and evaluating fellow team members
- Communicate regularly with the project team on status, open issues, and changes

Qualifications and Skills

- Registered electrical apprentice, progressing toward Interprovincial Industrial Electrician (309A) Certificate of Qualification
- Experience with panel building, field wiring, and/or pneumatic assembly considered an asset
- Experience in a custom automation or manufacturing environment considered an asset
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as needed
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious work habits
- Ability to work variable shifts (day, afternoon, or midnight) as project needs require
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license
