KO-LAB is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented and slightly perfectionist person to join our production and installation team.

We design, fabricate and install custom projects ranging from signage and architectural features to event structures, displays, décor, branding installations and one-of-a-kind builds.

This is not a repetitive production job. Projects change constantly, and we are looking for someone who enjoys building things, solving problems and seeing a project go from an idea to the final installation.

What you'll do

-Fabricate and assemble custom signage, displays, décor and structures Install signage, graphics and architectural elements on site Work with wood, aluminum, ACM, plastics, vinyl and various finishing materials

-Use hand tools and power tools Measure, cut, drill, assemble and finish components accurately Read drawings, measurements and installation plans

-Prepare projects in the shop before installation Load and organize tools and materials for job sites

-Troubleshoot and adapt when conditions on site change Maintain a clean and organized work area Work closely with our production, design and project management teams

We're looking for someone who is Manual and mechanically inclined Very detail-oriented Proud of producing clean, skilled work Resourceful and able to find solutions Comfortable working independently Reliable and punctual Able to work efficiently without sacrificing quality Comfortable working both in a shop and on job sites Interested in learning new fabrication and installation techniques Experience

Experience in any of the following is a strong asset:



Sign installation Sign fabrication Carpentry / woodworking Cabinetmaking Construction Exhibit or display fabrication Event production Vinyl installation CNC / laser fabrication Metal fabrication General fabrication or assembly

You don't necessarily need experience in the sign industry. If you're highly skilled with your hands, meticulous and comfortable building things, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

Valid driver's licence

Comfortable using hand and power tools

Able to lift and handle materials and equipment

Comfortable working on ladders and at heights

Ability to accurately use a tape measure and basic measuring tools

Available for occasional early mornings, evenings or weekends depending on installations and events

French or English required; bilingualism is an asset
