MTE Logistix is looking for a highly motivated Inventory Analyst to join our team in West Edmonton, Alberta.

The Inventory

Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for products within a third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse workplace. This role supports operational efficiency by monitoring stock levels, analyzing inventory discrepancies, optimizing processes, and ensuring proper handling of regulated goods. The position plays a critical role in minimizing shrinkage, ensuring traceability, and supporting customer service excellence in a high-volume, compliance-driven environment.

About YOU:

You thrive in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment where managing multiple priorities comes naturally. Highly organized and detail-oriented, you take pride in ensuring accuracy when coordinating shipments, schedules, and documentation. You communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers, and you’re confident using dispatch systems, warehouse management systems, and Microsoft Office tools. A proactive problem-solver, you adapt quickly, make sound decisions under pressure, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Experience in dispatching, logistics, or a 3PL warehouse setting is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Accuracy & Control

- Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation of stock discrepancies.
- Conduct random inspections on inbound receiving, outbound shipments/BOL and stored product.
- Investigate root causes of variances (e.g., breakage, mispicks,



system errors).
- Work with Operations Manager to ensure cycle counts in the warehouse are conducted regularly, and balance to WMS system.
- Maintain system accuracy across Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with alcohol handling regulations, excise tracking, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits (internal, client, and regulatory bodies).
- Support traceability requirements including lot control and expiry management

Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze inventory trends and stock movement patterns.
- Ensure inventory accountability and accuracy exists through the facility, by reporting and following up on failures.
- Generate and distribute reports (Shrinkage, accuracy metrics, stock levels)
- Provide actionable insights to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce losses

Stock Management
- Monitor inventory levels to support replenishment and order fulfillment.
- Track and report damages, breakage, and returns of bottled goods.

Process Improvement
- Identify gaps in inventory processes and recommend improvements.
- Support implementation of process changes and best practices.
- Participate in system enhancements or WMS optimization initiatives

General Responsibilities:

- Provide feedback to Operations Supervisor(s) and Operations Manager on inventory findings.
- Initiate RAIDE reporting process and report variances and incidents to management immediately.
- Make recommendations to company management with ideas for potential improvements in timeliness, and accuracy.
- Maintain detailed and organized records for all inventory-related activities




- Ensure safe handling practices for fragile and high-value bottled products
- Work within tight deadlines and high-volume operational demands

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, preferably within a 3PL or warehouse environment.
- Experience handling regulated products (alcohol, beverages, or controlled goods) is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with inventory control methodologies (cycle counting, FIFO/FEFO).
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for alcohol storage and distribution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
